1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Glossa, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Glossa is a language-learning platform that lets you upload books in a foreign language and read them with word-by-word translations, vocabulary tools, text-to-speech, and practice games.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Glossa.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Glossa offers a free tier with monthly usage limits and a paid Pro tier with unlimited usage.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • Pro subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless canceled.
  • You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that infringes copyright (you are responsible for the books you upload)
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Resell or redistribute translations generated by the service

6. Content and Intellectual Property

  • You retain ownership of books you upload. We do not claim rights to your content.
  • Translations and summaries generated by Glossa are provided for personal learning use only.
  • The Glossa name, logo, and software are our intellectual property.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep Glossa available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

Glossa is provided "as is." We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
