Free for 2 books and 10 pages of reading; Pro is a $4.99 7-day pass or $14.99 per month. Built by Sensus Software AS, based in Norway.
The premise is simple. Most adults learning a foreign language don't want to work through a fixed curriculum of synthetic exercises — they want to read the books they're actually interested in. Glossa turns any PDF or EPUB into a graded reader: the words you're likely to know stay in the original language, the words above your level get translated inline, and you can tap any word for a fuller definition with audio pronunciation and example sentences. Your vocabulary list builds itself from what you read.

What Glossa does
You upload a book in a language you're learning. As you read, a difficulty slider controls how much gets translated inline — slide left to see more translations for words above your level, slide right to keep more of the original text intact.
Tap any word to see its translation, pronunciation, and native-voice audio, along with an example sentence. Words you tap are saved to a vocabulary list and surface later in short practice games. You can also import classic books from Project Gutenberg directly inside the app.
